Dan y Coed Cottage
... is a grade 2 listed building dating back to around 1800. It has been renovated with love and care for guests to enjoy.
The cottage is on a moderately busy road, but thick stone walls make a safe haven.
It's a 10 minute/1km walk into the lovely market town of Llanidloes.
Local shopping procuring locally produced food is an enjoyable experience.
There are plenty of pubs and cafes to choose from in town.
A perfect base for walking: the woodland at the back of the garden leads onto the national trails of Glyndwr's Way and the Severn Way.
Sightseeing and discovering
... the natural world in the Elan Valley, Clywedog Reservoir and Hafren Forest are all within half an hour.
Slightly further are the coastal towns and beaches of Aberystwyth and Aberdovey.
Gardens such as Powis Castle are always a joy to visit. Walking, cycling and fishing are all possible from Dan y Coed cottage.
Llanidloes has seen chartist rebellion, and to this day has a strong community spirit. It is known for its friendly atmosphere.
The whole house and garden is available for guests to use. We live 4 miles away and are happy to help if needed.
"Our aim is provide every guest with a lovely holiday and happy memories."
