A Warm Welcome

We give a warm welcome to our guests. The log stove is laid, ready for a cosy evening in.

There are maps of the local area, books, games and DVDs to keep you entertained.

We hope you enjoy our country cottage style decor making Dan y Coed a homely stay whatever the weather.

Be aware it's an old cottage with a few quirks: the stairs are steep/narrow and not ideal for those with mobility issues. The road is moderately busy, so please be aware of this when you book.

We pride ourselves on cleanliness and in this time of Covid, now sanitise every light switch, door handle and remote control so everything is fresh and clean for guest arrivals.

All towels and bed linen are provided along with wood for the fire.

Staircase steep and narrow- use the handrail when coming down. May not be suitable for all.

We aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible. We use eco-products when cleaning.  We support local businesses when supplying our property. Our electricity is supplied by a renewable electricity company.  There are electric charge points available in town for EVs.

*We accept a well behaved pet but ask that dogs stay downstairs, where the floor is washable, and stay off the furniture.

Living/dining room (ground floor) : Downstairs is open plan with a fully equipped kitchen, living room with a wood burning stove and seating for 4 at a dining table.

Kitchen

Kitchen (ground floor) : Fully Equipped Kitchen with Electric Oven & Hob Looking into Dining Area and Lounge

Outhouse (ground floor) : Washing Machine & Tumble Dryer

Bathroom

Bathroom (ground floor) : There is a downstairs bathroom with roll top bath.

Garden & Parking

Garden (ground floor) : There is a small lower garden – perfect for sitting with a cuppa.

Garden (Upper Level) : A steep pathway leads to a garden above the rooftop. This has lovely views over the Severn Valley. Adventurous guests can scramble through the trees onto pathways in the woodland above.

Parking (ground floor) : There is space for a car to park in the driveway; a second vehicle can park at the front of the cottage.
